Alternative Human Development Programs

Alternative human development programs focus on the critical issues of teaching people of all age groups and at all levels of global society many new skills, points of view, information, understanding and values that they desperately need, not only to survive in the increasingly crowded and competitive Third Millennium, but also to succeed, and by their success, to help others succeed as well. Central to Alternative Development Programs are concepts of "appropriate information" and also of awareness and sensitivity to ethnocultural differences and obstacles impeding such development at all levels. People are capable of great changes if and when they are allowed to, when the circumstances demand it, and when they choose by themselves to do so. As ethnocultural issues come into the foreground increasingly on the world stage, finding means of adequately addressing and dealing with these issues in a non-violent and tolerant way is of paramount importance.
