The Global Context
We must ask ourselves what the impact and role the human race will have upon the earth in the 21st century and beyond. We must take seriously the general problems posed by the rapidly increasing size of the human population and the environmental relationships and impacts that this population is having upon the earth. We must especially seek to understand human social patternings tied to militarism, social authoritarianism, human poverty and the issues of global development and try to understand how these are interrelated as part of our Global Imperative. It is the fitting and appropriate role of Alternative Anthropology that is not constrained by academic preoccupations and prejudices, to address these central issues and to seek viable answers to the problems they pose.
