My Vehicle Drives into the Night
My vehicle
Hurtles headlong
Into the night
The road curves
Weaving back and forth
I steer a straight course
Dim headlamps
Reveal the road ahead
Meter by fleeting meter
Dead ahead
In the unfathomable distance
Approaches slowly
In the darkness
