three

my little girl

and your little boy

caressing each other's lips

kissing with our noses

hugging one another's pillow

seeking comfort in our warmth

entangled arms and legs

intertwined in our life

everyday a new discovery

deeper and deeper we delve

into the other's soulful solitude

overturning every little stone

upon our common path

your little splinter in my hand

my little knick upon your thumb

sharing together life's small misfortunes

you have me and I have you

we drink from the same cup

of common clay

we walk together

hand-in-hand

the same dusty pathway

together picking and smelling

the flowers along our way
