Ocean patience
To wait for a fish
To take the hook
to watch the tides
Rise and recede
Ocean patience
To follow the journey
Of the sun
And to be dazzled
By an infinity
Of sparkling fires
Ocean patience
To hear the rolling waves
And feel the sand
Disappear beneath one's feet
Ocean patience
To stare entranced
Blinded in every direction
Deafened by the noiseless surf
Numbed by the sun rays
And cooling breezes
Ocean patience
To wait for the seaweed
To settle upon the shore
And for the pounding surf
To carve away the shifting sands
The surfers flock together
Like flocking crows
Waiting for the right moment
That promising swell
Out beyond the joggers
And curious beech strollers
The pelicans and seagulls
Spouting whales and sand crabs
Jelly fish and sand crabs
the seas shells, smooth pebbles and driftwood
Coral, anemonie and starfish
Standing upon the edge of the mighty ocean
Who has caused a multitude of calamities
To share in the patience of a might eternity
Standing n the verge of a vast destiny
Reduced to most basic elements
Replenished in a tremendous reservoir
That engulfs and unites our earth
The patient return to primitive states.
