Slaves of color

Spellbound to an overheated box

Exposed to our daily dosage of radiation

Compelled habitually to an unchanging program

Turning life inside out

And acting out our lives like puppets

On a miniature stage

Projected in two dimensions

Reality becomes a station

That we can tune in

Or turn off

And we become our own Gods

By a simple act of choice

Pushing a button

Or turning a switch

Deciding on the fate

Our new lives shall take

Endless death and countless heroics

Put on a show

To suit our fancy

Deluding ourselves

As to the quality

Of our visceral existence

Consumed in vicarious fantasy
