I do believe the music

Is a touch of ageless jazz

And the pieces fuse and intermingle

In the center of a vast empty ballroom

And reverberate from the distant walls

Echoing down through the ancient corridors

As fickle time runs quickly out

To gather in fresh air

From cooling breezes

Beauty courts ugliness

As the wall-flower becomes a corsage

Venus is dating Adam

And Eve is left with the punch bowl

Eternity is the partner of Folly

Coming together

Falling apart

To and fro

Yoyo

Slow dancing

Through

Day and night

Moonlit Angel

Entangled intimately

With the ghost of darkness

Omnipresent party

Twirling throughout the spacious universe

Like a spinning top

Sunrise to sunset

Waxing and waning

Around and around and around

Again and again and over again

Eclipse the tail of the comet

Coming and going

The dance never stops

The dance of the heavens

The sun and the moon

Together

Dancing star dust

Fleeting light

That sparks like lightening

The fallen heart

And sweeps clean

the cobwebs of fancy

Ephemeral essence

Divine dignity

Slow solemnity

Like a funeral dirge

Or joyous tidings

And fast laughing

Of a matrimonial celebration

The dance of the tree

Blowiing and bowing

The dance of the butterflies

Twitting and flitting about

The dance of the streams flowing

The dance of the mud melting

The dance of the rain and the snow

The dance of the newborn and the dying

The dance of spring and fall

Of winter and summer

The dance of flies and birds

The dance of decay and renewal

Time lost in the swirling windstorms

The dust that collects

Is wiped up

To settle yet another time

Somewhere else

The dance never stops

Never ever
