All that was shall still be

All the things that I have ever been

All the things that I have seen and done

Are yet in myself to still become

Each experience I can remember

Is like a cold clear day in November

Or the leftover warmth of a glowing ember

Skills acquired never forgot

Like old tools from the hardware

that were bought

Small battles in our lives we dare

to have fought

When the timing was not quite right

There were other days on which to fight

Things are strongly felt

That will be

Stronger than faith

Surer than a soothsayer's prediction

What life has prepared for me

Everywhere the sun shines the same

The moon waxes and wanes

Clouds gather and disperse

Above every mountain top

The wind blows

And every tree-top bows

The stars stare down upon every uplifted face

They remind all of us of our dues

and our duties
