Billions of Red Bricks
China has been built
Upon billions of red bricks
One brick at a time
Scratch the surface
And there you will find
The common red clay
Beneath every facade
Bricks lay in countless piles
Stacked in rows so neatly
A little mortar between
A little cement smoothed over
Mixed with tons of toil
Buckets of sweat
And congealed blood
Earthquakes will shake the earth
Buildings will tumble down
Gods and men will slowly rot in their graves
But the bricks will be left over
To be stacked back up again
All the people will simply begin once more
One brick at time
