Night Shades
Night shades
Descending in the shadows
Of the moon
Colorless forms floating
Against the darkness
Of the night
Invisible trees are rustling with the wind
Strange round faces emerge suddenly from the darkness
Framed in black
Glowing in the bare moonlight
And soon disappear again
Shadows overcast in many hues of gray
A piercing light insults the darkness
Blinding in our faces
A guard's flashlight
Born without care
In an insolent hand
Disappearing suddenly
Without a sound
And not much sense
