It Snowed while in Class
On leaving class, I was immediately struck
By the white blanket that now spread across the ground
And the small flakes falling to the earth
I stopped halfway home, to gaze over the playground
Carpeted in white snow, and pine needles
For once there were no people there, and no tracks
The people stared at me strangely as they walked by
An unusual thing to do on such a cold day
