Déja Vu in Class
Listening to a student lecture
While writing my class notes
Sitting by an open window
I suddenly dreamed it all before
Some time long ago
Did I dream of the future then
Or did I dream of the past now?
How could I have been in both China
And America at the same time?
My head swimming in nostalgic confusion
Strangely the feeling subsides
Leaving but a surreal impression upon that day
The only experience of lasting value
I derived from the class
On that slow day
