Chinese Children
Chinese children
Dirty and clean
Hitting and hugging
Playing and crying
Lighting fire crackers
Burning odd rubbish
Cooking make believe noodles
And then marching dutifully off to school
Little brothers and sisters
Follow the elders around
Bundled in seven woolen layers
Hands and face cracked from all the exposure
The parents are too busy
Off somewhere else
To bother
