Fuel cells, electric motors and steam turbines represent viable alternative power-train devices that can be utilized to power cars and other forms of transportation.  Mention should be made in the realization of automation in infrastructure, and the increasing role that artificial intelligence will play in the articulation and coordination of such networks.
