Alternative Energy
Solar Meta-systems is based upon the development of alternative non-carbon based alternative energy resources and the associated energy infrastructures required to deliver such energy efficiently to the home and the workplace. What is demanded is no less than a total reconfiguration of the energy framework upon which modern industrial and fossil-fuel economies have been based. This reconfiguration begins and ends in the decentralized, home-based energy producer/consumer who can achieve a level of eneryg self-sufficiency and who is capable of buying and selling extra energy upon an open energy market. Centralized production, storage and transfer facilities will then exist for the sake of tying together local providers and consumers over a vast range and network, and in serving to buttress and anchor this global network in a stable modality.
The true revolution of a solar-hydrogen based global economy rests in the doing more for less consequence of falling energy prices based upon increasing abundances, efficiences in production and transfer and utilization, and stockpiling of greater and greater amounts of energy in stored, potential form. This is precisely the opposite pattern observed in the world today, of the basic inflation and provider-manipulation of energy prices and eventual bottle-necking of the energy supply on a global scale. This is a consequence that the dominant and controlling petroleum companies of the world do not want people to know. Cheaper and cheaper energy will entail greater productivity and increasing return on the dollar spent, and this will "ripple" through the entire economic structure of the world in a positive manner.
This will also lead to true global integration of the world economy in a manner that makes development a realizable goal for all people, and not merely the exclusive prerogative of a few at the expense of everyone else. This is perhaps the most important consequence of a solar hydrogen alternative energy revolution. With increasing economic integration of the world, there will occur as well increasing political and structural stability and less likelihood of the occurrence of war and mass-destructive violence.
We may say that global development has occurred in the world, but it has been one-sided, imbalanced, and tending to serve the status quo of the inequality of distribution of resources on earth.
