Like paper wishes

Launching out to sea

Each with a dream and a hope

Each a fragile promise 

Of a moment's

Notice

Of things

Passing by

Carried on the tide

Out beyond the waves

Floating with the currents

Children beckoning and waving

Shout, laugh and cheer

Running about

Chase

Each Other

In the sandy foam

Small Creatures of the day

Phantom shadows of the sun

But lost visions of night

Drifting out of sight

Day grown old

My tale told
