Disappearing America

Jobs dry up and go away. Opportunities dependent upon a college education are given away to minorities and foreigners, dissipating the prospects for American students to achieve success through education. This has not been done accidentally or by the silent hand of laissez faire capitalism--it has been done systematically, deliberately, orchestrated in the back-rooms of ex-government administrators.

If one sits in practically any classroom in Southern California, what one lacks is an ethnocultural sense of being an American. This is not to say that being an American is what it should be about for everybody--but it is somewhat odd to be teaching a class completely Hispanic how to make pilgrims and turkeys  for Thanksgiving holiday--better to teach them to make tamales and vacaros.
