Burnt-Books was established as an on-line book-trading outlet primarily for the sake of supporting the Chinese Student's English Library in Xinyang, China. The current status of the Chinese Student's Library is unknown, primarily due to interference by Chinese government authorities. Last communication was in June of 2000, indicating that the library was still being successfully managed by the students. 1. Support of expansion efforts of Burnt-Books.com and Lewis Micro-Publishing.

2. Donation to charitable, non-profit library efforts.

3. Support of non-profit projects undertaken within the aegis of Lewis-Works or any of its affiliated domains.
