Level 2 Systems
Level 2 Systems are those areas of methodological application of general and formal knowledge to the solution of problem sets regarding the understanding of how natural systems of various kinds function. Level 2 type systems are those that come closest to the framework of conventional science, and it is in the range of subdisciplines of the natural and human sciences that we find the stratification of level 2 type systems and models.
Research techniques, tools and paradigms vary considerably within Level 2 type systems, and the models being articulated are generally and analytically specific to particular problem sets. The aim of research at Level 2 of these kinds of systems are the elaboration of specific applied formal models that describe analytically and synthetically the patterning of phenomena associated with the areas of knowledge under consideration.
