Prospectus
This prospectus of Lewis-Works is offered for the benefit of those who take a further interest in involvement and investment in the future development of its framework. While many designs and subsystems within the metasystems framework are of a proprietary and privileged nature, the overall framework and organization of Lewis-Works is by its construction open and available to all interested persons and parties.
Writing a realistic and complete prospectus of Lewis-Works at this time is a difficult thing to do, not only because it is still in its formative stages of development, but more importantly because it is a relatively new and previous untried system, and rests largely upon experimental and hypothetical grounds.
We are reaching the end of a preliminary phase of initial planning and conceptualization that has involved thinking through many aspects of the framework and some training and hands-on involvement in many different areas considered pertinent to the implementation of this framework. It has been four and a half years since this effort was started from where we were sitting in Central China in the early Spring and late Winter of 1999.
Up to this point everything started in the framework has been boot-strapped on a shoe-string budget. We favor a ground up working approach to its construction coupled with a top-down holism of the entire framework. Working with very limited means in very restricted conditions, progress and development has been slow and at times haltingly so. Nevertheless, progress has been real and gradually cumulative, and the central model has not only remained stable, but grown increasingly integrated and differentiated as a result.
It is at this stage difficult to assess the market potential for the metasystem framework as a whole--this could be either nothing at all or potentially unlimited. Assessment of the market potential must be made separately within the subsystems and departments that comprise the framework, with the idea that success in any one area fosters success in all the other areas, while lack of success or failure in a component subsystem can be tolerated and managed successfully without doing harm to the overall framework.
Realistically, we are on the verge of inaugurating a second stage in the development of the framework that will be signaled by several developmental moves: 1. the establishment of a real marketing framework for the working models and subsystems; 2. the displacement from a domestic to a market framework for the central location of the Lewis-works system; 3. the recruitment of qualified labor and accumulation of working capital and other resources. It is thought at this time that this second phase of the market augmentation of the framework will occur within a two year time frame, and should be near completion in about the Summer of 2005.
It is expected that, if the second phase of aggregation can be achieved by this time, then a third stage of maturative development will be inaugurated with the incorporation of the Lewis-Works system and its elaboration and extension of applied projects and programs in multiple directions simultaneously.
It can be said that in the best of possible worlds, growth of and through the metasystem can be of almost unlimited potential, especially as the metasystem cultivates its own frameworks, contexts and resources for continuing development.
