Alternative Frameworks
Lewis Works is conceived and designed on the basis of a Meta-systems approach, or what can be called a system of systems, or a general systems framework based upon natural and real systems theory. It is founded on the premise that all natural and real phenomena are regularly patterned in a manner that this sense of underlying order can be formulated in terms of structural principles, or rules, that are held to partially determine and scientifically govern the sense of order and outcomes of development of such patterning, and that can be referred to generally as systems.
Lewis Works adopts what can be called a framework approach to metasystems research and understanding. Frameworks being alternative general frames of reference and functional application in the approach to problem solving in relation to patterned phenomena. Different problem sets generally require different frameworks for resolution. Frameworks provide alternative contexts for both thinking and relating behaviorally and constructively to different problem sets in reality.
Lewis Works can be defined as a generalist framework and comprehensivist strategy to the general evolutionary problem of human adaptation and adjustment in relation to a larger world, in both an individual and in a collective sense. Because human adaptation and adjustment is not just biological or physical in the sense of physical resources, behavioral mechanics, or biological survival or reproductive success, there are inextricable symbolic and social dimensions the the problem of human adaptive adjustment that entails complex patterns of symbolic-behavioral elaboration and extended chains of social constraint, dependency and manipulation in the development and expression of human culture and civilization.
Lewis-Works is intended to set up and provide a range of alternative frameworks of applied systems to various levels and kinds of problem solving and productivity in real world contexts, especially the kind of problem solving that is considered from a strategic and tactical point of view critical to our future well-being in a collective, pan-human sense.
