Frames of Reference
Lewis-Works is built upon a metasystems framework that provides alternative frames of reference for the organization of knowledge, the comprehension of a wide range of different problem sets in the world, and for adaptation of human systems through the design of alternative applied systems. This is the real value and importance of the metasystems framework as a means of reconceptualizing our approach to the world in a systematic and scientific way.
The design and development of alternative frames of reference is a critical first step in the realization of alternative developmental possibilities in the world. It permits us a systematic means to rethink problem sets and to reorganize our knowledge in ways that open up new approaches to old problems and provides new methods and problem solving procedures to be adapted. It permits a general, overall frame shift in our general models and frameworks, in our collective worldview, upon which our adaptation and construction of human systems is predicated.
