natural-cultural stratigraphy and topography of the global landscape, and functional demarcation and stratification of variegated regions in a complex and dynamic, epigenetic framework. </div> <bR> <div> The eco-zone framework provides an alternative approach based within a metasystems perspective to general and specific problems of environmental conservation and scientific and applied ecology.
