Its goal is to promote patterns of human adaptation that function effectively and in harmony within a natural world ecology through the original design and teleological development of alternative technology in the world.</div> <div> The main mission of earthfingers is the development of an alternative metabiotic context on earth as an alternative framework for human social adaptation in natural, environmental settings, and the promotion and protection of natural environments from sources of human depredation and destruction. Such a mission has many facets, each of which constitutes a primary objective of earthfingers. We may list these objectives:</div> <bR> <div> 1. To provide a realistic framework for the education and cultivation of earthbound values and sensibilities toward the environment, in a manner that will lead to lasting and permanent shifts in eco-cultural value orientations and adaptations.</div> <bR> <div> 2. To provide a network of active individuals committed to social change on behalf of the environment and who are capable of becoming empowered to achieve such changes in strategically significant ways.</div> <bR> <div> 3. To provide an experimental laboratory framework for the conduct of advanced research on metabiotic systems.</div> <bR> <div> 4. To provide a context for the development of integrated human habitation and community systems and environmental design that promotes earthbound modalities of living and working.</div> <bR> <div> 5. To provide safe havens, habitat systems and related mechanisms for increasing biodiversity and net biomass in sustainable ways.</div> <bR> <div> 6. To develop environmentally friendly metacultural applications toward food and organic resource production and utilization.</div> <bR> <div> Grass-roots is where significant change begins and ends.
