Earth-fingers seeks to enhance the understanding and promotion of biological systems within an alternative meta-cultural framework in which Humankind accepts responsibility for stewardship, protection and promotion of all living systems wherever they are discovered and however they may develop. It is possible to build constructively upon the human relationship to nature as a source of health and well-being, not only for ourselves, but for our planet as well. This establishes a natural earthbound charter for redirecting future human development in an environmentally non-capricious and non-destructive manner.

Earthfingers has been organized as a web-based metasystem, and as a subsystem of the Lewis-Works Metasystem, to deal directly with the problem of biological systems, theoretically, methodologically and in applied metabiotic and metacultural engineering frameworks. As such, it represents the web-based extension and expression of natural systems theory and metasystems science that is focused upon the biological processes, functions and integration of living systems. The concept of the metabiotic context, and of metabiosis as the holistic process of integration of biotic and non-biotic components, emerges as centrally important in biological systems theory.

Earth-fingers is dedicated to promoting interests in issues of human ecology at global, regional and local levels, and in cultivating meta-cultural values and constructive support systems for reestablishing and maintaining the equilibrium between contemporary human systems within the biosphere and the global meta-biotic context, including stewardship of natural resources and development of alternative organic resources and meta-cultural production systems.
