Tactical operations involve on-going implementation of projects in field or workshop settings, and can include issues relating to marketing or provision of other services as well.

Tactical operations are an on-going part of any implementation framework for a project, and should be taken as much into account as possible during preliminary planning phases.

In dealing with issues tactically, an encounter approach is well warranted, with the idea of expecting the unexpected. Having a "tool kit" and enough appropriate resources on hand allows rapid fixes to problems as they arise, and can preclude the development of major problems that could result in failure of the project as a whole.
