Agrarian metaculture can be considered to be metacultural patterning and applied metacultural systems adapted to agrarian pursuits, industries and contexts. The predominant trends of the modern era have been one of urbanization and displacement of human population from agrarian settings to urbanized settings, often associated with permanent poverty and severe loss of quality of life, but also with shifting standards, symbolic and behavioral displacement, cultural loss, and deculturation. Of course, urbanization is not equally bad for all people.
