Transculturation
I define transculturation as the process of the development of metacultural contexts in the world by which cultural development occurs by a community in relation to and as a consequence of response to other ethnocultural groupings in the world. Transculturation tends to involve a process of the exchange of ideas, symbolisms, artifacts and knowedge, or technology, between groups. With such exchange human systems achieve progressive development and stylistic elaboration that we come to know as human civilization. Hence, transculturation as a process of human cultural transmission constitutes the basis for the development and spread of human civilization in the world.
