Alternative Anthropology comprehends a variety of perspectives upon human reality, and seeks those aspects of reality that are not normally studied within conventional anthropological frameworks. There are some areas of human reality that have not been very well dealt with in conventional anthropological forums. I would include in this list general issues concerning the following:

Human sexuality
Human violence and aggression
Human deviance
Modern human systems and their numerous social contexts and dynamic behavioral settings
Processes and effects of mass media communications upon groups and individuals

This list is non-exhaustive and non-exclusive, and I see no reason to draw strict definitions around subject matter or topics of potential interest in human reality or in the articulation of human systems.

We will be adding links to this page in the future with development of content in various alternative subjects.
